B&W Honey Striped Kit #3
4 complete kits available ~ Individual skeins also available
I recently made myself a Honey Striped Hat (pattern by Stephen West) and I LOVE it so much I decided to put some kits together. I am crazy about black and white stripes and have been for as long as I can remember. So these kits will all include skeins for black and white stripes. That said, you could easily switch around the order of colors and with three skeins you will still have plenty of yarn to complete this pattern.
These skeins are listed as a group OR individually. I did this in case you want to make something different, and you need more of one or two colors, you can do that. If you purchase a complete kit you will receive one skein of each color; charcoal, nude, and teal.
This is my go-to DK base for my shop. It’s a standard staple of superwash merino and nylon, making it soft and resilient for any project.
Colors: charcoal (shades of black), nude (undyed cream), cherry bomb (dark red with a little black mixed in)
Yards: +\- 246
Weight: Percy DK
Fiber: 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon
Care instructions: Superwash wool will not felt in a washing machine (do NOT dry in a dryer). However, I still suggest hand washing, lay flat and shape to dry.
NOTE: Most tap water has a higher than desirable (for hand-dyed wool) pH level. You can neutralize this by simply adding 2 tablespoons, per gallon of water, of white vinegar to your wash water. That will neutralize the pH levels and help maintain the vibrant colors.
