When working with smaller, local fiber mills, sometimes the skeins aren't as consistent in yardage. Each of these skeins has different yardage and they are priced accordingly. You can see the yardage options in the 'Select Option' drop-down link above.

Wanderer base...these are domestically sourced, unprocessed, non-superwashed wool skeins. Although they are NOT superwashed wool, they share some of the same qualities because these will not felt easily. (Superwashed wool will not felt EVER and therefore can be machine washed repeatedly.) They are a bouncy, buttery skeins that does not have the slippery feel that some superwashed wool can have. They are ideal for fair isle work, lace work, cabling, etc. What makes these so magical is they have many very thin strands that have been individually twisted, that are then twisted together. This multi-twist process is why they don't felt easily, but still retain all the natural characteristics of natural wool.

Length/yardage: +/- 370, OR +/-392, OR +/-415 yards
Care instructions: dry clean, hand wash in cool water, or machine wash with cool water gentle cycle (only if your washing machine is truly gentle), lay flat and shape/pin to dry. Do not machine dry or iron flat.
